Following 20 years in the NHS awarding clinic owner Lou Sommereux original pioneer BACN board member,ex vice chair and regional lead for East Anglia for 10 years was awarded Aesthetic Nurse 2014, commended 2016 and finalist in subsequent years. A mentor for Northumbria University Lou was the first cohort of aesthetic nurses to be awarded PgCert and PgDip in aesthetic practice at Northumbria. A regular peer reviewer, an aesthetic judge, she has sat on many aesthetic journal boards and continues to serve on the CCR educational board. Co author of the original BACN accredited RCN competencies, she sits on the current BACN updating competency educational committee group. A Regular presenter, ex KOL and trainer for Galderma and board member of the Galderma Global Nurse Faculty, she is currently a trainer for Prollenium UK (Revanesse) recently returning from a Prollenium Canadian symposium. Her clinic in Cambridge recently celebrated 20 years of clinical excellence.
